Why did you pursue an MBA after the military?
“Prior to pursuing the MBA, I began to recognize the need for understanding of broader strategic context and managerial concepts necessary to exceed in any enterprise. Pursuing an MBA allowed me to develop strong business acumen. Through courses in finance, accounting, marketing and leadership, I gained a more comprehensive understanding of business strategy, market dynamics and effective management. I am now more equipped to guide and lead both technical and business teams in a way that aligns with corporate objectives and ensures that I am making impactful strategic decisions across the organization.”
Why did you choose the University of San Diego Knauss School of Business MBA specifically?
“I chose USD because of the ability to customize my class schedule and focus on topics of interest, such as finance and business models. The executive MBA courses offered at the time did not allow this type of customization. ”
