Why did you pursue an MBA after the military?
“I pursued an MBA after the military because I wanted to accelerate my transition to a business setting and leverage the network of a major university. This decision has opened lots of doors for me and shown me how to better translate my numerous military leadership opportunities and other skills into what companies are looking for in a candidate. I truly believe the Fisher MBA has given me all the tools I need to excel post-graduation.”
What parts of the Fisher MBA program did you enjoy most and why?
“Although Covid put a damper on the amount of "in-person" activities and events we could attend, I really enjoyed the smaller cohort and personal relationships with my classmates and professors. Rather than fierce competition between us, our class was always trying to help each other both academically and professionally with internship or job searches which I believe led to phenomenal outcomes for everyone. Additionally, the smaller cohort led to great accessibility with the professors, and it wasn't uncommon to email a professor at night with a question and get a response back immediately which was a tremendous resource in our busy study schedules.”
How has the Fisher MBA helped in your career path?
“The Fisher MBA has been one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life. It allowed me to sharpen the skills I learned in the military while adding new skills based in business. The friendships, networking, career services, and general esteem that OSU is held in with large companies opened doors and opportunities for me that I never would have had otherwise."
