Why did you pursue an MBA after the military?
“I decided to pursue an MBA because I understood that transitioning out of the Air Force wasn’t going to make me immediately relevant in a rapidly evolving business environment. Though my military background and leadership experience is valuable, continuing to build upon my education after the military was the best way to show that my pursuit of personal growth and development hasn’t ended.”
Why did you choose the CU Denver MBA specifically?
“I chose CU Denver because I wanted to meet and work with emerging leaders in the business community of Denver, Colorado. Denver is such a rapidly growing business community and completing an MBA at CU Denver put me right in the heart of it. Having moved every three years with the Air Force I always felt like my community relationships were transient. Connecting with business students, faculty, and staff that are established in this community was my goal so that I could better understand local businesses and perspectives while increasing my network where I plan to remain long term.”

JASON RUSS

Why did you pursue an MBA after the military?
“The Marine Corps taught me to lead teams in austere environments across the globe at a moment’s notice. Now that I am focused on supporting positive change on a local and state level, I sought a formal education that would provide me a broad exposure to all facets of business management from the executive’s perspective.”
Why did you choose the One Year MBA specifically?
“The OYMBA differentiates itself not only in the caliber of professors and staff involved with the program but especially in measuring the time required to earn your degree. The opportunity cost of spending one year in the classroom relative to a traditional MBA was preferable.”
