FAQ

stars_gold

I’m not even sure if I’m going to ETS yet. Is there any advantage to attending?

Absolutely. At some point you’re going to need a resume, you’ll need to learn how to speak about your military experience in language that a recruiter unfamiliar with the military will understand, and you’re going to want to build your network. Unlike other military conferences, this one is designed to

I already have a Masters degree. Is this an event that I should attend?

Many professionals are pursuing two Masters degrees and as long as your first Masters is not an MBA, this event would be beneficial to attend.

How far out from ETSing should I be to register for this conference?

We’d recommend that you have an ETS date of September 2019 or earlier. This conference is designed for people who will leave active duty between May 2017 and September 2019, are current or former members of the National Guard/Reserve, or are veterans.

I’m very interested in ‘X’ graduate school or ‘Y’ company. How can I assure that I can interview with them while I am at the Conference?

We don’t schedule interviews on behalf of attendees, so the best way to do this is to attend the full programming (particularly on Friday) and express interest with the organizations in person. With that being said, all of the sponsor organizations will have access to your contact info prior to the event and they may reach out to you directly.

I’m a veteran and am currently working in the private sector. Am I allowed to register?

Yes, you can definitely register and are encouraged to attend. The Summit could be an excellent opportunity to build your network, explore grad schools, and meet recruiters who specifically work with veteran talent etc.
